It has been a strange year, or should I say couple of years… it feels surreal and time altering. Despite the challenges we have all faced, as Thanksgiving approaches I find that there is still so much to be grateful for. Mine is a long list that includes the simple cup of tea I have each morning to the warm bed I have each night, the friendships I still have from early childhood, to the newest blessings in my life: my grandchildren.
And my gratitude is overflowing for all of the support given to The Gentle Place over the last 18+ months.
I offer my deep appreciation for our gifted and devoted massage therapists who work diligently to create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for our massage clients.
I am grateful for our yoga, meditation and workshop teachers who embraced the world of virtual teaching and stepped up to help beyond the mat.
And I am truly grateful for you, all of our clients and students:
- for those from far and wide who jumped on board to try zoom yoga/meditation/workshops back in March of 2020, and for the small contingent who still join in;
- for those who came back to massage as soon as our doors reopened, or as soon as they felt safe enough to do so.
- and for those who still are not quite ready to come back but are taking care of themselves and their families.
- And for those of you here who have never even taken a class, workshop or massage, I thank you for still being on this list and being open to the potential of what The Gentle Place might offer.
I am grateful to all of you because each day you give me the opportunity to serve, to learn, to push past my limitations, face my fears, tune in to love and discover my best self.
I wish for you all a holiday filled with much to be grateful for, and for a season of health and ease.
with much love and appreciation,
Donna
