Yoga is an age-old practice for current day stress-relief and well-being, now accessible for Teens!
Yoga is great for everyone, and especially so for teenagers. The combination of breath, movement and focus that Teen Yoga offers strengthens and stretches the body while building confidence and de-stressing the mind.
Teenagers have their own set of stresses. In addition to the stress of school, exams, homework and sports competition, their changing psyches and bodies only add more anxiety to their lives. Concentration, focus, self confidence, self esteem, strength and balance are all benefits that yoga brings to teenagers.
This 60 minute Sunday workshop includes breath-work, yoga postures and relaxation techniques. It’s a great way for teenagers to discover a better mindset within themselves while preparing for the week ahead, while learning tools to use outside of yoga class that will help to relieve anxiety, maintain focus and increase confidence in their every day lives.
We have divided this class into two age groups to support teenagers amongst their peers: Middle School yoga at 6:45pm, and High School Yoga at 8:00 pm.
