???? Experience the Joy of Kirtan – Free Event This Sunday!

Free Kirtan Community Gathering this Sunday!? But wait…

What is Kirtan?

Kirtan is a call and response form of music that involves chanting, prayers, mantras, songs, and meditations from various traditions. It’s a practice that transcends musical experience, creating an environment of unity, contemplation, and joy. Whether you’re a seasoned Kirtan enthusiast or new to this form of musical meditation, you’re in for an enriching experience.

According to the American Hindu Society, Kirtan is a Sanskrit word meaning to call, recite, or praise and “its most well-known form, is the call and response singing of a mantra.” The mantra is led by the call leader, and is followed up by a response by the audience. Often instruments, dancing and poetry play parts in the ritual as well.
